Senior Manager

Mayvin is currently seeking a team lead to run the contractor staff for the Acquisition Division within the Systems Support Directorate (SSD) within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Office.  

CWMD coordinates U.S. efforts to prevent and respond to threats involving chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear weapons. This agency integrates various national security, intelligence, and emergency response capabilities to protect against and mitigate the use of weapons of mass destruction.

Must be a US Citizen to be considered for this position. 

Clearance Required:  Active Top-Secret clearance. Ability to pass DHS Suitability.

The position is hybrid which means the candidate can work remote but must be in the local DMV area to attend customer and team meetings in-person as required. 

Responsibilities:

• Provides direct support to the Acquisition Division Director and the Innovation, Engineering and Support (IES) Branch Chief
• Is responsible for maintaining a well-balanced team in support of the CWMD SSD Acquisition Division
• Is responsible for reporting risks and issues immediately to the contractor Program Manager to ensure proper and swift mitigation and resolution
• Is expected to be available and responsive to customer needs outside of normal working hours
• Ensure all deliverables are completed before their deadlines and high quality
• Supports conferences and CWMD events as needed
• Manages daily administrative tasks, supports project coordination and ensures effective communication across the team
• Support special projects as assigned and will be deployed to support various teams, projects and programs as required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 15 years or master’s degree and 12 years
• Expert in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Highly organized with excellent time management skills; capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities and a proactive approach to assuming additional responsibilities
• Excellent communication skills in the English language, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications:

• SCI-eligible
• Current DHS Suitability with HQ or a component
