IT Asset Management Specialist

Overview

At MB2 Dental, we value providing superior customer service and are committed to the successful operation of our information technology systems. We are seeking a qualified IT Asset Management Specialist to maintain MB2 Dental's entire IT state. That covers Hardware Management – including employee workstations, servers, mobile devices, etc. – and Software Management, including the software tools employees use, the organization's cloud infrastructure, and other digital systems and services. A successful candidate must be able to maintain complete visibility over the MB2 Dentals hardware/software IT infrastructure and the devices they use to ensure that they are functioning as designed.

Objectives and Responsibilities:

• Build a robust ITAM team and assist employees in troubleshooting their assets.
• Collaborate with IT management to develop hardware/software standards.
• Hardware/software procurement
• Hardware lifecycle management
• License and contract agreement management and negotiations
• IT vendor management
• Assess vendor performance.
• Maintaining sufficient inventory
• Shipping and receiving accessories and equipment to appropriate departments, offices, and end users
• Ensuring vendor compliance with company standards
• Managing vendor billing and disbursements
• Build, maintain, and regularly update the MB2 Dentals hardware and software inventory.
• Evaluate MB2 Dental's asset requirements and coordinate their acquisition.
• Create and implement policies for the acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of assets throughout the organization.
• Keep track of assets throughout their lifecycle and ensure that they're compliant with current organizational policies.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to explain technical concepts to audiences with
• a wide range of technical skills
• Solid understanding of project management principles, processes, and techniques
• Skilled in performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature.

• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing technical environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ITAM certified.
• 2 years of experience doing asset management.
• specifically, hardware/software procurement, contract negotiation and agreement, IT vendor management and compliance, purchasing, and inventory. Management.
• Understanding of ITIL practices.
• Experience with hardware lifecycle management.
