What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Foreman position at MCCNO?
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assign and supervise the daily assignments of personnel to ensure adequate productivity levels and effectiveness of the workgroup.
- Monitor work performed by personnel to ensure that facility maintenance and client requirements are completed in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular facility inspections and ensure the quality of work performed is in accordance with established standards and industry guidelines.
Demonstrate knowledge of occupational safety standards, city, state and national codes and policies relevant to work performed by electricians.
Order materials and equipment required for the accomplishment of duties and maintain records relevant to supplies, equipment and personnel to ensure the successful completion of duties and accurate billing.
Interface all electrical equipment repairs in harmony with other internal functional departments as required minimizing disruption and maximizing effectiveness.
Assist service vendors and contractors as required in completing their contractual obligations in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
ACCOUNTABILITIES FOR SUPERVISION
Participate in decisions related to the selection, promotion, transfer, pay and discipline of assigned personnel.
Orient employees to MCCNO policies and procedures, clearly communicate job duties and responsibilities so individuals may proceed with certainty in the performance of their positions.
Personally conduct or oversee training for new employees to ensure established procedures are clearly understood and followed.
Monitor the work performance of assigned personnel on a continual basis, conduct effective performance appraisals, and take corrective action whenever necessary.
Create a working climate in which assigned personnel are motivated to develop their skills and abilities and demonstrate by personal example the desired standards of conduct and work performance.
Administer MCCNO policies in a fair and equitable manner with regard to discipline, tardiness, absenteeism or insubordination and fully document all incidents and actions taken.
