Position Description Maintenance Technician
How You Will Make an Impact: The Maintenance Technician will be part of a team supporting 120,000 square feet of factory, inventory storage and office space. They will perform repairs, maintenance, installations, and upkeep of various buildings, offices, grounds and equipment. The ideal candidate will help support maintenance and safety activities throughout the campus to ensure conformance with established procedures.
When You Will Work: Monday through Friday, full-time position with flexible 1st shift hours.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Installing and assembling new machines and equipment
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and service for equipment
- Inspect buildings, systems, and equipment regularly for malfunctions, including visual and sound inspections
- Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions
- Repair faulty equipment and components
- Make minor building repairs, such as fixing drywall, broken locks, repairing doors and painting
- Logging performed maintenance work through Limble CMMS system
- Assist in snow removal of the parking lots and sidewalks
- Follows safety rules
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in a general maintenance role
- Mechanically inclined with manufacturing experience and great problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and carpentry
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
- Experience using a variety of hand and power tools
- Works well independently and with others
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, move and lift up to 50 lbs., for an extended period of time
