Overview
Indexing-Data Entry Specialist
Preparation of loan packages for subsequent departments, which generally includes indexing (classification of loan docs), data entry, and preparation of documents for written and/or phone verifications.
What you will do (Responsibilities)
Employees are required to review a previously classified loan package, and further refine the indexing into the ADFITECH indexing schema. This process is referred to as "Versioning". Employees are also required to perform data entry in several loan applications to prepare loan for subsequent review functions including orders of credit reports, processing of mail, and verbal verifications.
Essential Job Functions and Requirements
- Data Entry of Borrower and Loan information
- Ability to differentiate between Income, Asset, and Credit documentation.
- Ability to quickly recognize and identify a wide range of mortgage related documents.
- Prepare loan documentation for written verifications including a redaction of images for nonpublic information and exclusion of duplicate docs.
- Process mail including researching addresses and/or phone numbers for paper mailings.
- Other duties as assigned
What you will bring (Qualifications)
Required Education & Work Experience
High School diploma/GED. Previous experience in clerical or administrative job duties is required with preference given to those with background in banking, finance, or mortgage services.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Document Recognition
- Strong attention to detail, and precision of data entry
- Ability to concisely explain loan defects in narrative form
- Ability to multitask and navigate several programs and applications
- Must adhere to strict confidentiality and security policies to protect Non-Public Information
- Ability to lift 10-15 pounds to move boxes of paper loan files
