JOB DESCRIPTION: Minimum 3 years experience in Family Medicine, Acute Care, Internal Medicine.
Performs physical examinations, evaluates and treats patients accordingly. Implements high quality medical care under the supervision and direction of the Medical Director. Documents the care provided in the patient's medical record. Develop care plans to include diagnostic tests, prescription medications, and referral to specialists. Adheres to the Standard of Care as established by MTFP. Always upholds the highest standard of patient satisfaction.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Provides patient care within the respective clinical area which complies with the Standard of Care, policies, and procedures of MTFP. Provides and/or serves as a resource for patient/family and staff education. Provides an authenticated report of all services rendered and maintains accurate and complete records in an acceptable manner including medical assessment, interventions, and evaluations. Completes necessary documentation and ensures communication to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement Communicates effectively with patients, families, and other employees. Participates in meetings/activities as required to support operations of the practice. Participates in activities that enhance professional development. Complete and maintain certification in BLS or ACLS (ATLS, PALS, or NALS optional) and maintain any additional specialty training/certifications as required by the medical services provided. Performs other responsibilities as required and/or assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program of study Licensed Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in accordance with the state of Georgia. 3-year experience in family medicine and/or urgent care preferred. Current DEA registration, preferred. Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing as part of the McIntosh Trail Family Practice / Privia Medical Group medical staff. BLS certification is required.
Salary is compensatory with experience.
