Our work consists of architecture, urban design and interiors, sustainability consulting, and industrial design projects domestic and abroad and focuses on ‘deep green’ regenerative design projects that make a difference in the world. The ideal candidate should have passion, commitment and enthusiasm for these broad concerns and be equally capable of exploring them.
The Regenerative Design Advisor is responsible for supporting and analyzing regenerative strategies across a wide range of project opportunities that may relate to high performance water, energy, and carbon analysis; ecological restoration; biophilia; material research; resilience; and trends on occupant health and well-being. The Advisor will work under the direction of Senior Regenerative Design Advisor and is accountable for upholding the firm’s performance standards, processes, and vision leading to developing true regenerative and living buildings. The Advisor possesses superior organizational skills and is responsible for consistent delivery of high-quality sustainable documentation, consulting expertise, and the professional services required to support this level of work.
Common and Baseline Responsibilities
- Liaise with architectural, interiors, and urban design project and consultant teams in undertaking targeted sustainable building performance calculations and product research.
- Manage projects appointed by leadership, including management of project hours and project schedule.
- Responsible for tracking and reporting on trends and programs within two or more service / market sectors.
- Demonstrate the ability to make presentations to different client and stakeholder groups and responsible for preparing content for sustainable design presentations, reports, and other client deliverables.
- Collaborate with and oversee Sustainable Design Advisor I, II, and III’s project deliverables.
Proficiencies
- Robust knowledge of ‘deep green’ sustainability and regenerative design is required and demonstrated through completed projects
- Have strong mentorship skills, as proven in previous experience
- Have a strong knowledge of and applied experience directing and coordinating the US and/or Canadian LEED Green Building Rating Systems (LEED v4), at minimum. Living Building Challenge, Passive House, WELL, Fitwel, and/or other sustainable design performance tools are beneficial as well
- Development in sub-set of areas to build expertise, including: climate positive planning, biophilia, biomimicry, green materials selection and specification, embodied carbon, energy efficiency, renewable energy, water and waste systems, permaculture, passive heating and cooling, daylight modeling, natural ventilation modeling, energy modeling and more
- Strong knowledge across interiors or architecture scopes of work and hold a sub-set of knowledge in one more of the following market sectors is desired, including: corporate, commercial, civil, cultural, higher education, K-12 schools, healthcare, S&T, sports and recreation, and commercial interiors
- Strong working knowledge of project specifications and familiarity with architectural drawings and building construction
- Think critically and strategically and be able to conduct self-directed research and analysis with limited supervision
- Communicate effectively (oral and written) with both clients and colleagues, and strong attention to detail
Software
- High proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Revit
Licensure/Certifications/Education
- Holds a degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a field related to sustainable building design
- Professional registration is preferred
- At a minimum, be Living Future Accredited or have a LEED with Specialty Accreditation

At the time of posting this job advertisement, the annual pay salary range for this position, if located in Washington state, is between $86,000 and $115,000 commensurate with qualifications.
