What are the responsibilities and job description for the Handyman position at Medford Nursery?
Medford Nursery is a wholesale grower operating on over 400 acres in central New Jersey. Medford Nursery services the finest independent garden centers and re-wholesalers in the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, and upper Midwest markets.
We are currently seeking a full time, year round Handyman who will be responsible for addressing the maintenance needs, maintaining and repairing all company-owned equipment, vehicles, buildings, offices, residential houses and facilities and related systems on a scheduled basis and as problems arise
This person will be accountable for being at all job-sites and observing equipment while it is in use to ensure that all maintenance needs are accounted for, equipment is operating correctly, handling adjustments and maintenance needs on-site, and training employees in real-time on the correct operation and use of equipment.
Specific Accountabilities:
Ensure the facility and grounds are in proper condition. Property includes, but are not limited to:
- Farm roads
- Greenhouses and heaters
- Farm improvement projects
- Drainage systems
- Dumps and disposal areas
- Lawn mowing
- General facility maintenance
On a schedule, and as needed, cycle through company owned housing and offices to ensure proper care and that all systems are operating correctly and adjust and repair when as needed. Systems include the following:
- Electrical
- Grounds
- General maintenance
- Loaders
- Bulldozers
- Mini-excavators
- Road graders
- Heaters in the greenhouses
- RTV’s and other utility vehicles
- Other farm equipment as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

- High school or equivalent (Required)
