Medi-Plex Healthcare is seeking Certified Nurse Assistants to deliver varied social work services to Hospice patients and their families. To provide initial emotional, spiritual, psychosocial assessments, ongoing counseling, bereavement services and community education, outreach and referral. The Hospice CNA is an integral part of the Hospice IDG.
Responsibilities:
· Provide clients with personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, and shaves; assisting clients to the bathroom; helping with showers.
· Help assist with daily living activities by assisting with serving meals, feeding as necessary; ambulating, turning, lifting, positioning clients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
- Maintain client stability by checking vital signs and weight; recording intake and output information.
- Provides client with comfort by answering requests; reporting observations of the client to the Clinical Manager.
- Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
Maintain work operations by following policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) license required.
- Current CPR certification preferred; No Felony record or State disqualification.
- Excellent observation, good clinical judgment, and good oral and written communication skills.
- Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision; has good organizational skills.
- Ability to be able to lift/carry 65 pounds; bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting.
- Must be registered on the Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) - $15.25 fee (Cash or Money order only).
- Must possess a second form of ID (Social Security Card or Birth Certificate).
