Medical Preparatory Academy of Rhode Island (MedPrep) is an innovative public charter middle school opening its doors in August 2025. We are building a dedicated team of results-driven, passionate educators who share our mission: to prepare youth to succeed in top universities for careers in medicine, medical research, and post graduate professions.
We are seeking a high-capacity, dynamic educator to serve as a Teacher in the following subjects, in 6th - 8th grade: ELA, History, Math, Science, Medical, & Health & Wellness, Bilingual or Dual Language & Special Education.

Responsibilities
Use and adapt provided curricula to deliver exceptional daily instruction.
Maintain high expectations by implementing MedPrep’s routines, procedures, and values to create a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for students and staff.
Provide consistent, actionable academic and behavioral feedback to drive measurable growth.
Actively engage in professional development, coaching, and collaborative planning.
Incorporate coaching feedback promptly into classroom practice.
Communicate regularly and effectively with families.
Use student data to inform instruction, plan interventions, and refine teaching strategies.
Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to address individual student needs and ensure every child’s success.
Qualifications
A deep belief in the potential of every student and a commitment to helping all children achieve college readiness.
Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
A desire to grow as a leader in the classroom and beyond.
Bachelor’s degree required; at least two years of teaching experience preferred.
Rhode Island teaching certification preferred; additional certifications in Special Education or credentials in multilingual learner instruction.
Proficiency with technology, including Google Drive and educational tools.
A growth mindset, with a willingness to embrace feedback and data-driven improvement.
A “whatever it takes” attitude, with a commitment to excellence in all tasks.

Compensation
$50,000 - $94,000 annually, based on experience.
