Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care, including vision examinations, diagnosing eye conditions, and prescribing corrective lenses or treatments. The Optometrist will work closely with patients to ensure optimal eye health and vision care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive eye exams to assess vision and detect eye diseases or abnormalities.
- Diagnose and manage ocular diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
- Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, and other visual aids.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries (e.g., LASIK, cataract surgery).
- Educate patients on proper eye care, visual hygiene, and preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals when necessary.
- Stay updated on advancements in optometry and eye care treatments.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- State licensure to practice optometry.
