One of our clients, an established medical practice, is looking for a Medical Assistant to join their team.
The position is full-time with a great compensation and benefits package.
Salary: $18-20/hr, depending on previous experience.
Benefits: 401K, Medical, Dental, Vision, Sick, Life, Disability Insurance, PTO.
Location: Shelby Township, MI (On-Site)
Job DescriptionThe Medical Assistant will be responsible for obtaining and recording patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
The Medical Assistant will work with obtaining patient records and test results, coordinating daily administrative tasks, preparing treatment rooms for examinations, and assisting practitioners during medical procedures.
Responsibilities & Duties
  • Gather and record patient info while keeping it confidential.
  • Manage daily tasks like scheduling, check-in/check-out, and record maintenance.
  • Set up treatment rooms and help practitioners with patient care.
  • Provide kind support to patients and families.
  • Follow health care regulations like HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Give medications to patients as instructed by doctors.
Required Qualifications
  • Medical assistant or military corpsman certification.
  • 2 years of experience in medical settings.
  • High school diploma, bachelor's degree, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of patient care, medical terms, coding, reference tools, and clinical pharmacology.
  • Great interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Experience with electronic medical record systems.
