What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operating Room Nurse position at MedOP Solutions?
Registered Nurse OR RN - Main OR
Salary Range: $30- $50/hr
- Shift Differentials offered for BSN, MSN, national certifications, weekends and weekday nights.

OR RN Responsibilities:
- Familiar with the basic nursing performance standards
- Basic understanding of operating room equipment
- Recognition of the need for narrative recording of unusual operating room events
- Ability to assess patients’ needs: physical, educational, emotional, spiritual, and age appropriate
- Circulate in the specialties per facility needs (General, Neuro, Ortho, Vascular, ENT, Pediatrics, ETC.)
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedure, rules and regulations; calling for assistance from health care support personnel
- Ensures proper operation of equipment prior to start of surgical case and reports any malfunction to Surgical Operations Manager or designee
- Maintains nursing supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipate needed supplies and reporting any needs to Materials Manager and Surgical Operations Manager or designee
- Uses AORN, ASCA, AAMI, ASPAN, and The Joint Commission for clarification of perioperative standards and procedures
OR RN Requirements:
- Must have valid NM RN licensure or Compact
- Valid and up-to-date BLS/CPR
- Minimum 1year OR RN experience
- Ability to adapt to new environments
- Circulate experience
