Meduri Farms, a leading provider of premium industrial food ingredients, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Sales Associate to join our dynamic sales team. This role is primarily focused on identifying, qualifying, and nurturing new business leads, laying the foundation for a robust sales pipeline. The ideal candidate will have a passion for research, a knack for building relationships, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation and Research
- Identify potential customers through market research and industry resources, using resources like Apollo and Innova Market Insights.
- Build and maintain a database of qualified leads in HubSpot.
- Analyze market trends to identify new opportunities for business growth.
- Research customer profiles to understand their needs and determine alignment with Meduri Farms' offerings.
Lead Qualification
- Contact leads via phone, email, or social media to assess their needs and determine sales potential.
- Transition qualified leads smoothly by scheduling discovery calls or meetings for senior sales management.
- Utilize probing questions and active listening to understand the lead's challenges and goals.
- Follow up with unresponsive leads to keep the pipeline active.
Collaboration and Reporting
- Work closely with leadership to align lead generation efforts with current initiatives.
- Provide regular updates on lead generation activities, conversion rates, and pipeline progress during weekly 1:1 meetings with your supervisor.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve processes and strategies.
Customer Engagement
- Represent Meduri Farms in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities as needed.
- Provide prospects with product and company information to build credibility and trust.
Small Account Management
- Complete the full sales process for small business accounts (30-60 day training to prep)
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Comfortable with cold calling and email outreach.
- Humility, curiosity, and tenacity. A drive to hit the ground running
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in sales, marketing, or lead generation roles.
- Knowledge of the food ingredients or industrial food processing industry.
- Familiarity with sales qualification frameworks (e.g., BANT, MEDDIC).
- Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
