Position Description
As a Software Engineering Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of software engineers, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software projects, and contributing to the overall growth and development of the engineering team. You will play a key role in fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment, while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance and support to foster their professional development. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Motivate and inspire the team to achieve high performance and deliver exceptional results.
Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, ensuring they meet defined scope, budget, and timelines. Manage project risks and identify potential roadblocks, taking proactive measures to mitigate them.
Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to the team, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices within the Go ecosystem. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and maintainability.
Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within the software development process and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Contribute to the development and implementation of software development methodologies and best practices, specifically tailored for Go and GCP.
Communication & Collaboration: Effectively communicate project status, risks, and challenges to stakeholders, including management, clients, and team members. Facilitate knowledge sharing and teamwork within the engineering team, particularly around Go and GCP expertise.
Skills Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Skills Required
- Strong technical skills in Go programming language and experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with specific GCP services like Kubernetes, Cloud Functions, and Cloud SQL.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, particularly within the Go and GCP context.
- 7 years of experience in software development, with a strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Proven experience leading and mentoring software development teams.
