Protein Plant Operators - Lactose, UF/RO, intake

Seeking 3rd shift operator. 10pm - 6am. Rotating weekends required. Pay based on job history and experience. Base pay is $17.43 and $2 shift premium at minimum. This person is responsible for the proper packaging and product integrity of the finished lactose product. All associates in the bagging department are required to follow their instructions.

• Assist in all activities in the department including but not limited to:
• Job/position assignment as needed or scheduled
• Proper use and care of equipment
• Sanitation/cleaning and record keeping as needed as part of the job
• Operate and maintain Lactose system properly
• Monitor equipment and keep running in proper parameters
• Start up and shut down procedures
• Wash procedures and chemical use
• Ensure product and packaging quality are maintained. Package lactose in bags of totes as needed

o Prepare bags, totes, and equipment as needed

o Take samples and keep accurate records

o Contact Supervisor to report any discrepancies and take immediate and appropriate steps to maintain food safety and quality.

o Contact Maintenance to report ant mechanical problems and take immediate and appropriate steps to maintain food safety and quality.

• Associate shall be fully trained on all standard operating procedures
• Include but not limited to:
• Lactose Operation
• Bagging Operation
• Tote Filling Operation
• Lactose Sampling Operation
• Metal Detector Checks
• Scale Checks
• All other tasks as required on behalf of the company
• Help to develop policies and procedures related to their department
• Comply with all GMP policies including but not limited to:
• Proper hair restraints
• Appropriate use of gloves, lab coats, and shoe coverings
• Appropriate hand washing and glove changing
• Enforcing the use of designated tobacco use areas
• Traffic Patterns/ Color codes
• Ensure Sanitation/cleaning checklists are being completed and area is sanitary and clean
• Ensure proper workplace safety, workplace behavior, eliminate horseplay and improper activities.
• Participate in the development, implementation and enforcement of all food safety and company policies.
• Perform any and all duties as directed in support of the needs of the company.

Pay: $19.43 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
