Job Summary
The Environmental Services Manager will provide leadership, direction and management oversight for all areas of the EVS operating model necessary in providing a safe environment for patients and caregivers achieved by demonstrating the principles of cleaning, disinfection and quality assurance toward the reduction of harmful pathogens. Accountable to the Director of Hospitality Services for maintaining effectiveness and efficiencies of the environmental and linen departments by controlling labor and supply chain costs, onboarding of all caregivers on infection prevention and safety protocols and ensures compliance with infection prevention through audits.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or G.E.D. is required. Any applicable management or supervisory course is preferred along with computer experience.
Experience:
A minimum of two years of experience in management is required, experience in Environmental Services is preferred.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The ability to clearly and effectively articulate and present information, respond to questions from managers, customers and caregivers in a professional manner. Exhibits excellent communication skills and promotes a work environment that fosters a positive culture, creativity and teamwork among the EVS team. Interprets documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals and communicates with caregivers. Knowledgeable of Windows applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related applications. The ability to collaborate with the Director of Hospitality to establish dashboard metrics to monitor operations and improvement initiatives. Excellent time management skills required in order to meet deadlines.
