The Mercatus Center at George Mason University is hiring a Program Manager for the Monetary Policy and Financial Regulation projects.  In this role, you would have the opportunity to work with top-tier researchers and scholars. The ideal candidate would have strong project management experience with a passion for innovation and experimentation, as well as a collaborative work environment built by thoughtful challenge, personal respect, and intellectual honesty.    Role Responsibilities: Ensuring all Monetary Policy and Financial Regulation research products (working papers, policy briefs, etc.) move through the publication process smoothly. Commissioning original academic research relevant to current monetary policy and financial regulation problems. Working with Monetary Policy and Financial Regulation scholars in developing and updating the project strategic plans. Coordinating with other Mercatus research projects on joint work. Collaborating with the outreach and communication teams in disseminating research to target audiences. Regularly reporting on the Monetary Policy and Financial Regulation projects progress. Serving as the Monetary Policy and Financial Regulation projects main point of contact for both internal and external audiences. Supervising junior team members.   Qualifications: Interest in and some knowledge of monetary policy and financial regulatory issues. 3-4 years of work experience in a similar or complementary setting. A strong appreciation for the mission of the Mercatus Center. Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks at the same time. Ability to work independently, quickly, and under pressure.     Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail.
