Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Distribution Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our distribution operations. Your main goal will be to ensure the efficient and effective distribution of our products while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of supply chain and distribution processes, and the ability to work under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement efficient distribution strategies that align with company objectives.
- Manage daily distribution operations, including staff scheduling, training, and development.
- Monitor customer order fulfillment and manage the customer service function ensuring all customer service representatives provide excellent service.
- Liaise with various departments to achieve optimal inventory control and management.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines.
- Report on performance metrics and analyze logistics data to optimize shipping and transport procedures.
- Maintain relationships with transportation and logistics providers.
- Overseeing the operation of forklifts within a warehouse or facility, ensuring safe and efficient movement of goods by managing a team of forklift operators, performing regular safety checks, scheduling maintenance, and adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies
- Prepare and manage distribution budgets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field. Or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a warehouse environment, or a distribution capacity.
- At least 1 year managing people and processes.
- At least 1 year working with safety and performance standards in the industry.
- At least 1 year working with Department of Transportation regulations and requirements.
