High School Math Teacher

IB DP Applications and Interpretations predominantly centers on the practical applications of mathematical concepts. It's specifically tailored for students who have a keen interest in leveraging mathematics to better comprehend the world we live in. This course correlates closely to Texas courses in Calculus and Statistics. The specific topics included in teaching this course are Number Skills, Sequences and Series, Financial Applications, Linear and Nonlinear Functions, Differentiation, Integration, Geometry, Trigonometry, Descriptive and Bivariate Statistics, Probability, Distributions, and Hypothesis Testing. Special Knowledge/Skills ● Knowledge of core academic subject assigned ● Successful experience teaching IB Mathematical Applications is preferred ● General knowledge of curriculum and instruction ● Proficiency with the TI-84 plus functions and applications. ● Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior ● Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills ● Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers and others ● Ability to differentiate instruction for all learners ● Ability to participate in and establish collaborative structures ● Proven ability to develop successful academic programs ● Willingness to collaborate regularly with colleagues in a positive, constructive manner
