What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Clerk | Diagnostic Imaging Services position at Meritus Medical Center Inc?
Under the supervision of the Manager, performs a wide variety of medical records, switchboard, and clerical duties for the clinical staff to ensure the department is able to operate in an efficient manner. In relevant unit, accesses, organizes, maintains and retrieves manual/electronic patient medical records. Scans, indexes and completes quality assurance daily on patient medical records. Customer liason for all record requests. Courier duties are completed daily as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education - Graduation from High School (or GED equivalent) with commercial/business courses or equivalent required. Graduation from Medical Secretary or Medical Records course preferred.
Experience - Computer and keyboard experience required. Prior experience in medical office preferred
Licensure/Certification - For Meritus Home Health only: Must provide own transportation. Current, valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and access to a vehicle is required. Vehicle maintenance is the employee's responsibility. For DIS only: must be 21 years of age.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Data entry skills and proofreading required. Typing experience preferred. Some positions require passing a typing test. Typing test required for DIS.
