What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Training Coordinator position at Meritus Medical Center Inc?
This officer coordinates and implements the department's training program for all sworn and non-sworn staff. This officers works with staff to identify training needs and opportunities; schedules training activities and functions; ensures compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, as well as department policies and procedures; and maintains records related to the program.
Education – Graduation from high school or the equivalent.
Experience – Minimum (10) years experience in healthcare security required.
Licensure/Certification – International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Basic Certification preferred.BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy required. For use of Meritus Vehicles: Valid Driver’s License, A driving record as required by law for vehicle expected to operate. No record of moving violations in the past three years is preferred. Certified copy of driving record is required to be provided by team member annually on date of birth. Acknowledgement with signature to “Attestation A” of Meritus Vehicle Management Use and Control policy.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Extensive knowledge of Security/Law Enforcement practices, good verbal/written skills and ability to communicate and deal effectively with staff, patients, visitors and physicians.
