Mesa Associates, Inc. is Hiring a Project Manager - Remote Near Remote in Paducah, KY

The primary functions of the Project Manager are to scope, plan, manage, and coordinate substation projects with the objective of delivering successful projects by ensuring that project goals and objectives are achieved while all business processes and applicable procedures are followed. The position requires a working knowledge of power industry design and construction practices, standards, and processes as well as the use of independent judgment, enhanced verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision with the support of a remote team. The ideal candidate would have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or related field from an accredited curriculum, and a minimum of eight years of relevant project experience with at least five years’ experience independently managing complete projects during execution.

Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification:

  • Bachelors or better in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant project experience with at least five years’ experience independently managing complete projects during execution.
  • PMP, preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to perform broad range of supervisory responsibilities over others
  • Possess solid verbal and written communications skills. Ability to coordinate with and interface with contractors, vendors, engineers, colleagues, and other electric utilities personnel at a high professional level
  • Display strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and work effectively with clients, peers, and affiliates
  • Strong capability in Microsoft Word, Excel, scheduling software and possess working knowledge of corporate accounting practices and business operations
  • Willingness to develop, promote and comply with Mesa and client safety requirements
  • Ability to travel for project requirements


Experience

Required
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant project experience with at least five years’ experience independently managing complete projects during execution.

Education

Preferred
  • Bachelors or better in Construction Management Services or related field
  • Bachelors or better in Engineering or related field
  • Bachelors or better in Business Administration or related field

Licenses & Certifications

Preferred
  • Project Mgmt Prof (PMP)
