As an experienced Sheet Metal Installer with Metal Design, you have developed a strong foundation in sheet metal work and can independently complete basic tasks with minimal supervision. You are a valuable member of the team, demonstrating a commitment to learning and continuous improvement. You may have opportunities to mentor apprentices on large-scale projects, helping to develop their leadership and critical thinking skills. Additionally, you may be entrusted with leading small projects that align with your expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install sheet metal products including, but not limited to, panels, gutters, downspouts, and flashing.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation.
- Measure and cut materials to specified dimensions.
- Safely operate hand and power tools required for installation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in architectural sheet metal work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand project specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Good physical condition and the ability to work at heights.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Experience mentoring team members is a plus.
