Description : Metalworks is looking for a motivated, production-minded individual with a passion for quality to join the welding department. As a Welder you will be responsible for creating a quality product while meeting production goals.
First Shift : 6A-4 : 30P Monday-Thursday and mandatory OT when applicable
The following duties will be required but not limited to :
- Reading blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to verify quality production
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
- Operate angle grinders to prepare / finish the welded parts
- Align components using fixtures, calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal)
- Set up / operate Robotic Welding cells.
- Provide continuous improvement feedback to help increase productivity
