Location: Franklin, NC (Macon County)

Salary: $16 /hour (depending on education and experience)

About Methodist Home for Children (MHC): Methodist Home for Children is dedicated to ensuring safe, nurturing homes for children while working to eradicate social and family problems leading to abuse, neglect, family disruption, and abandonment. MHC provides community-based services for children and families throughout North Carolina, partnering with public agencies to serve children in crisis. Private funds are raised to deliver evidence-based services.

Overview of Position: The Direct Support Staff position at MHC's multipurpose home in Franklin, NC, involves providing program services to intervene with adolescents in a residential group home setting. This role implements the agency's model of care, provides residential care services, and collaborates with adolescents, families, volunteers, and community representatives in both home and community settings.

Responsibilities:

• Implement direct treatment services using the agency's model of care
• Provide residential care services for adolescents
• Collaborate with adolescents, families, volunteers, and community representatives
• Work in both home and community settings

Qualifications:

• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
• Minimum of a High School Diploma and experience working with the client population
• Must maintain a valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods
