What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internship position at Metron?
Metron is seeking talented students to be part of our summer internship program. The successful candidate(s) will be supervised by a mentor and work in small teams led by senior technical staff members. Projects include developing and testing algorithms, creating user interface components, and writing scripts in support of large-scale defense and homeland security support systems. Interns are given the opportunity to learn from our talented staff and present their accomplishments at the end of their internship.
Required Qualifications
- Applicant must be at least 16 years old
- U.S. Citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, math, physics, engineering, or related field
- Programming experience in Java or C
- Proficiency in object oriented programming
- Familiarity with polymorphism, data structures, and algorithms
- Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving ability
- Experience with Windows development
