Description

Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Property Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is fully accountable for completing residential work orders at our properties. This includes completing routine maintenance, heating, cooling, painting, carpentry, electricity, plumbing and more.

Responsibilities:

  1. Complete assigned service requests related to repairs and upkeep of properties in areas such as heating, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, flooring, and other general repairs, recommending replacement or repair as necessary.
  2. Ensure all work is completed professionally and cleanly.
  3. Ensure quality and timely completion of construction and repair projects.
  4. Provide ongoing input on property improvements for budget consideration.
  5. Participate in site meetings as needed.
  6. Maintain the attractive internal and external appearance of all buildings and grounds, including debris and weed removal, and reporting maintenance needs.
  7. Participate in ongoing training to maintain required knowledge and skills.
  8. Always utilize required safety equipment.
  9. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. Must have own hand tools, a valid driver’s license, vehicle, and vehicle insurance.
  2. May be required to work extended hours and weekends.
  3. Scheduled to work on-call evenings and weekends on a rotational basis.
  4. Ability to work independently, organize work, establish priorities, follow defined procedures, and complete tasks.
  5. Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate to a diverse group of people.
  6. Travel to multiple sites and/or locations as required.

Education & Experience:

  1. High School or equivalent education with one to two years’ related experience and/or training preferred, or a combination of relevant work experience and education is required.
  2. Must have experience in the following areas: HVAC, EPA Universal, Boilers License and/or Pool Certification.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to work outside and will be exposed to cold, rain, wind, and other weather conditions customary to their location.
  2. Responsible for always acting in a safe manner and ensuring that other employees do not put themselves or others at risk; working safely is a condition of employment.
  3. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  4. Must be able to lift 20 to 50 pounds on a regular basis; on occasion will lift to 100 pounds.
  5. Must be able to walk, bend, stretch, stoop, lift and reach on a frequent basis.

Total Compensation:
