Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated School Principal to lead our educational institution. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for fostering a positive learning environment. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively manage school operations, engage with the community, and inspire both staff and students to achieve their fullest potential.
Under the direction of the Superintendent, the High School Principal provides leadership for the instructional program, as well as coordinating the implementation, review, and revision of the curriculum at the building level. The High School Principal manages the operation and all functions of the grade 9 -12 secondary school. The High School Principal supervises school staff regarding instruction, curriculum, student programs and issues, and building operations and schedules.
Responsibilities
· Assists in the implementation of programs of in-service for teachers.
· Assists the Superintendent in the recruitment and assignment of staff
· Completed the official rating form for all teachers annually and twice annually for non-tenured teachers.
· Monitors on-line lesson plans and grade books.
· Takes responsibility of evaluating materials and supplies needed for the operation of the school
· Develops and evaluates the performance of staff
· Provides feedback on performance and arranges for remedial assistance
· Holds knowledge of Special Education laws and processes and collaborates with the Special Education Coordinator to provide appropriate services.
· Maintains responsibility for student and employee discipline
· Manages and edits the student handbook
· Contributes to a positive public relations program with emphasis on the High School.
· Contributes as a member of the community both in civic and professional activities
· In addition to the above, the High School Principal is considered a member of the management team and is responsible to carry out policies as set forth by the Board and directed by the Superintendent. As a member of the management team, the High School Principal is entitled to the support of the Board and the Superintendent.

Experience
Any combination equivalent to education and experience that provides the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
- Holds a baccalaureate degree from a regionally or nationally accredited college/university
- Satisfies the requirements set forth in section 24 P.S. § 12-1209 relating to good moral character
- Provides verification of three years of relevant professional experience.
- Completed a Pennsylvania-approved, graduate-level principal certification program that includes an internship/practicum or an equivalent out-of-state program. A 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) is required
- Provides evidence of satisfactory achievement on the Pennsylvania required test.
