JOB SUMMARY
This individual will support all company departments to create and maintain baseline documentation and safeguard hardware/software lifecycle management procedures. The Configuration Management Lead will establish and maintain best practices to ensure company and industries standards are met daily.
DUTIES
This full-time position will support multiple departments with a focus on administrative duties. The configuration manager would be expected to formalize company, department, and program documents, ensure hardware and software are appropriately maintained (lifecycle management), provide support for physical configuration audits, review technical documentation, and align the needs of multiple teams for project completion.
· Maintain data – refresh/clean as needed, verify protocols and information are up to date.
· Develop configuration documentation.
· Participate in program discussions to determine documentation requirements.
· Identify systems which need to be patched/updated/reconfigured to align with company standards.
· Establish guidelines and policies to ensure project documentation is completed within company and industry standards; establish product baselines.
· Facilitate software and hardware lifecycle audits.
· Track software and hardware end of life / end of support dates.
· Develop system version control to maintain baseline hardware and software requirements.
· Develop a change management process for documentation, software, and hardware updates.
· Lead change management board (CMB) monthly meetings to ensure all project documentation, software, and hardware are within baseline requirements.
· Resolve and track compliance issues, adjusting policy accordingly to avoid repetition in the future.
· Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.
REQUIREMENTS
· 2 years’ experience in project and/or configuration management.
· Ability to excel at interdisciplinary work; strong communication skills are a must.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
· Hold or be able to acquire a government clearance (DoD Secret).
· Hold or be able to acquire a US Passport.
· Demonstrated knowledge of configuration management principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
PREFERRED
· 5 years of previous work experience in configuration management.
· Experience working in a configuration management product life cycle system (i.e., Agile PLM, TeamCenter, CMPro, etc.).
· Basic knowledge of Information Technology systems.
· Experience in data management, collecting and analyzing data, and creating statistical analysis plans.
· Prior military experience.
