Director of Payroll Leader needed for a Global Organization to create a newly newly formed department to enable the organization to grow globally. This Director will be overseeing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely employee payments while maintaining compliance with all relevant labor laws, managing the payroll team, and collaborating with HR and finance departments to streamline payroll operations within the company's specific environment; this includes developing and implementing strategic payroll policies, managing payroll systems, and monitoring for potential issues to ensure smooth payroll cycles.
Key responsibilities:
Payroll Processing and Compliance:
- Manage all aspects of payroll processing including calculating salaries, deductions, taxes, and benefits for hourly and salaried employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including timely filing of tax returns.
- Monitor payroll system accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and manage a team of payroll specialists, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and career development.
- Partner with the finance team to reconcile payroll data and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Communicate payroll policies, procedures, and updates to employees and managers.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate comprehensive payroll reports and analysis to identify trends and potential areas for improvement.
- Provide insights on payroll data to support strategic decision-making.

- Proven experience managing a payroll team in a complex manufacturing environment

Salary : $135,000 - $160,000
