Overview
MicroTech is currently seeking a Data Engineer to support the Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier at Ft. Belvoir, VA. This position is contingent upon award, one that will offer you the opportunity to be part of a cohesive and dynamic team providing mission critical support.
Responsibilities
- Assemble large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements.
- Identify, design and implement process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes.
- Build required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using Azure, AWS and Google technologies.
- Build analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition.
- Work with stakeholders including data, design, product and executive teams and assisting them with data-related technical issues.
- Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues.
The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a demonstrated ability to juggle and prioritize multiple competing tasks and demands.
Qualifications
Special Knowledge/Certifications:
- Ability to analyze data and then report it back in a way that less tech-savvy coworkers can easily understand
- Well versed in a variety of programming languages, such as Java, Python, R and SQL
- Strong background in mathematics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Education & Experience:
- Must have a BS degree and ten (10) years of experience
- Experience working with cloud computing (desired)
- Secret clearance
