Graduate Assistant - Softball

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

This is a Graduate Assistant position. You must have already been accepted or anticipate acceptance into a MACU Graduate program before the term of employment begins. Compensation includes a full tuition scholarship and stipend.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversees the conduct, discipline, and positive character of student –athletes by the guidelines and principles of MACU and the NAIA Champions of Character initiative.
• Coaches or directs players in techniques of game.
• Help plan and develop a recruitment plan; recruiting potential college athletics
• Supervise, conduct, and control all practice and training sessions.
• Lead and develop programs that will strengthen the character of the student athletics.
• Compose and compile all game statistics.
• Maintain a professional looking complex for recruits, visiting teams, students and alumni.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, usage of lawn maintenance equipment including standing, sitting, walking, and lifting equipment.
