OVERVIEW
As an Information Technology Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and closing technology projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. You will lead cross-functional teams, apply project management methodologies, and leverage your certification to drive successful project outcomes. You will serve as a liaison and translator between customers, stakeholders, leadership and technology teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Independently leads and provides project management leadership for large programs and projects.
- Lead project teams through the entire project life cycle, ensuring adherence to timelines and deliverables.
- Effectively communicate project goals, expectations, and status updates to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Identify and proactively manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Identifies and communicates budget and schedule variances.
- Monitors progress of project and reports status.
- Performs any corrective actions and escalates with recommendations.
- Manages tasks and designates responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- BS degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience (5 years) in IT project management.
- Possess and leverage a formal project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, CSM, IAPM, CPM) to apply best practices and methodologies in project management.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project management efficiency.
- Ability to motivate groups of people to complete a project in a timely manner.
- Familiar with ITIL best practices
