- Ability to maintain discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

- Experience coaching at the secondary level, preferably in a school setting
Essential Functions

- Assist in Training and Skill Development:
- Support the Head Coach in coaching cheerleaders in stunting, tumbling, jumps, cheers, dances, and other cheerleading techniques. Provide individual feedback to athletes to help improve their skills.
- Lead Practices:
- Lead specific parts of practice sessions (e.g., tumbling drills, stunting rotations) and work with the Head Coach to ensure practice schedules are followed
- Supervise and Ensure Safety:
- Monitor athletes for safety during practices and performances, ensuring proper technique, safety rules, and injury prevention practices are followed
- Assist with Routine Choreography:
- Contribute to the creation and execution of cheer routines, including stunts, cheers, dances, and formations
- Provide Support at Competitions and Events:
- Attend and assist with the team during games, pep rallies, competitions, and other events. Ensure that athletes are prepared and organized for performances
- Maintain Team Morale and Discipline:
- Help foster a positive team atmosphere by encouraging teamwork, discipline, and respect among athletes. Assist with team-building activities and maintaining motivation
- Communicate with Parents and Athletes:
- Act as a liaison between athletes, parents, and the Head Coach for schedule updates, expectations, and general information. Ensure that parents and athletes are informed about events, practices, and team requirements
- Assist with Administrative Tasks:
- Help with team administration, including attendance tracking, managing uniforms, fundraising activities, and coordinating travel arrangements for events
- Attend Coaches’ Meetings:
- Participate in meetings with the Head Coach and other coaching staff to discuss team progress, upcoming events, and strategies for improvement
- Spiritual Development
