Job Description
Title: SLC Aide Sub
Job Summary:
The part-time SLC Aide will be responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the school cafeteria during lunch hours. This position will require someone who is responsible, punctual, and willing to work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a safe and healthy environment for the students.
Lines of Authority:
Reports directly to the Middle School Principal.
Education:
High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
Requirements:
Must be able to work from 10am to 1:30pm
Must be able to work collaboratively with other staff members
Must have excellent communication skills
Must be able to follow school policies and procedures
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
Must have good time management skills
Transportation:
Must have reliable transportation.
Responsibilities:
Set up and prepare the cafeteria for lunch service
Assist students with any needs they may have, such as getting napkins, straws, utensils, etc.
Ensure that the cafeteria is kept clean and tidy during and after lunch service
Do light mopping and wiping tables down as grades are dismissed
Report any issues or concerns to the school administration or cafeteria supervisor
Attend meeting and training sessions as required by the school
