Description
Perform duties on automated and semi-automated injection molding machine(s) ensuring parts being produced meet all the quality documentation criteria.
Responsibilities and Duties
- May be assigned to work on up to 4 injection molding machines during the shift.
- Verify the workstation whiteboard’s production documentation has been updated.
- Verify there are rejection and sample bins on each assigned workstation.
- Confirm the labels provided are correct per the example on the workstation whiteboard.
- Communicate with the previous shift operators about quality issues they should look out for.
- Follow the operator work instructions displayed on the whiteboard.
- Visually check produced plastic parts per the quality alerts on the whiteboard.
- Pack produced plastic parts per instructions on the whiteboard.
- Reject the damaged or contaminated parts and record them on the whiteboard chart.
- Record injection molding machine(s) down time and reason.
- Maintain and keep work area organized.
Requirements
- Stand throughout the entire shift when assigned a semi-automatic machine.
- Walk from one press to the next throughout the entire shift when running machines.
- Comfortable with repetitively moving hands and wrists throughout the entire shift.
- Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs. in packed product to move it from the workstation to the pallet.
- Continuously participate in the company’s IATF (TS) policy and the ISO 14001 environmental management system practices and training.
Qualifications
- English is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills (native language is acceptable).
- Basic math skills
- Basic reading and writing skills.
- Prior experience is preferred but not required.
