The Midwest Petroleum Equipment team is expanding and is seeking a professional and reliable person to serve as a Construction Foreman/Lead Installer. This person should be able to lead, coordinate and manage construction and installation of petroleum equipment. The ideal candidate will be a Licensed Underground Storage Tank (UST) Installer in Nebraska, Iowa and/or Kansas. This position may require occasional travel during the work week.
CONSTRUCTION LEAD INSTALLER
Reports to: Construction Foreman
Position: Construction Lead Installer
Description: The Construction Lead Installer assumes the leadership role on each project site assigned, overseeing the successful completion and implementation of safety, quality, schedule, and profitability.
Job Responsibilities:
- Directly supervises all construction personnel assigned to crew
- Communicates to Foreman and other staff any specific requirements to ensure a successful, safe, timely and profitable project.
- Takes part in plan reviews and specifications, environmental regulations, as well as fire and building codes.
- Helps produce agendas and assists with safety, pre-construction, progress & schedule, and on-site coordination meetings.
- Ensures accurate and timely daily records are occurring on each project, including testing records, inspections, schedule progression, material tracking, and photos.
- Communicates with Construction Foreman with accurate time coding and payroll verification.
- Communicates with shop managers to ensure correct parts and equipment are staged for each project.
- Performs weekly safety audits at project sites, and submits findings to Construction Foreman.
- Communicates with customers or onsite representatives on each project to relay progress or convey issues that may arise that would require coordination.
- Assists with personnel recruitment.
Requirements:
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the petroleum industry.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Have a team player attitude and be coachable.
- Have high standards for appearance and professionalism.
- Be open to a flexible work schedule that may include after-hours and/or weekend work.
- Be willing to travel to projects as needed.
- Be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Be able to safely operate industry specific tools and equipment.
- Be willing to obtain/maintain certifications.
Physical Requirements:
- Be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50lbs.
- Be able to stand 8-10 hours per day.
