Job Summary :
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple, large-scale, or complex electrical projects while providing strategic direction and ensuring project delivery aligns with business objectives. In addition to managing individual projects, this role involves mentoring project teams, optimizing processes, and collaborating with executive leadership to achieve company goals. The Senior Project Manager plays a critical role in maintaining client relationships and identifying growth opportunities, while ensuring projects are executed safely, on time, within scope, and under budget.
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic Oversight : Manage multiple or large-scale projects from pre-construction to completion, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Budget and Profitability Management : Develop, monitor, and control project budgets to maximize profitability and ensure financial success.
- Mentoring and Leadership : Provide guidance, training, and support to project managers and junior staff to develop team capabilities.
- Risk and Issue Management : Identify potential risks early and develop mitigation strategies; resolve escalated project issues effectively.
- Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing high-level project status updates and anticipating future needs.
- Process Improvement : Work with leadership to refine project management processes, tools, and best practices.
- Vendor and Subcontractor Management : Oversee major contracts and ensure all subcontractors meet project requirements and standards.
- Compliance and Safety Leadership : Ensure region-wide adherence to safety standards, codes, and regulations such as OSHA and NEC. Ensures compliance with Federal, State, and contractual obligations
- Reporting to Senior Leadership : Provide executive-level reporting on project performance, risks, and opportunities.
Qualification and Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred) OR equivalent experience through progressively responsible roles in the electrical field (e.g., Journeyman, Foreman, or Superintendent).
Extensive hands-on experience with electrical systems, installations, and troubleshooting.
Proven ability to lead and mentor project teams, including field personnel, junior project managers, and subcontractors.
Strong skills in project planning, budgeting, resource management, and scheduling.
PMP, or similar project management certification.
Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
