The Transportation Administrator works within the Call A Ride Service (CARS) program under the direction of the Transportation Supervisor. The Transportation Administrator’s primary responsibilities include monitoring and scheduling fleet maintenance, driver safety, and driver training.

Essential Skills
· Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, experience working within transportation logistics and customer service skills.
· Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and be able to obtain a Pennsylvania Criminal History Clearance, Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance, and any other necessary clearances that may be required.
· Thorough knowledge of Mifflin and Juanita County geography.
· Experience working within transportation logistics, customer service, and basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
· Strong oral and written communication skills and exceptional customer service skills.
· Exceptional organization skills including attention to detail and time management.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
· Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, database management, and the ability to learn program specific software is required.
· Understand and follow strict confidentiality and ethical procedures.

Essential Duties
· Inspect CARS vehicles for compliance with vehicle safety requirements and operating and maintenance standards.
· Schedule the maintenance or repair of the CARS vehicle in accordance with the specifications and manufacturer’s suggested maintenance schedules for the vehicle and CARS Vehicle Policy.
· Communicate with supervisor about any repeated or excessive non-routine maintenance concerns.
· Create and maintain accurate spreadsheets and files for vehicle maintenance.
· Assist in development of driver training courses and safety programs.
· Maintain records of current clearances and driver training.
· Answer, log and enter telephone requests for transportation.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
