What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance - 3rd Shift position at Milbank Manufacturing?
- In general maintenance is responsible for the grounds and building maintenance and for repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment, both mechanical and electrical, throughout the physical plant.
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings, manufacturer’s specifications, and various other instructional materials.
- Must possess appropriate knowledge of relevant Safety and Environmental regulations. i.e. lockout, tag out, universal waste disposal, and SDS.
- Have a clear understanding and working knowledge of Preventive Maintenance and must document the process according to procedure. Must understand the different lubrication requirements.
- Responsible for daily equipment Preventive Maintenance as assigned.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing Machinery (mechanical and electrical)
- Must have a clear understanding and working knowledge of basic through advanced electricity and troubleshooting, including knowledge of electrical schematics, diagrams and correct de-energizing of electrical systems as well as Wiring and setting up electrical panels.
- Must demonstrate a clear understanding and working knowledge of electrical distribution systems.
- Have a clear understanding and working knowledge of hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems to include troubleshooting and repair as needed
- Ability to follow and develop visual Management systems to include but not limited to Audit boards, PM Boards, Work Order Tracking system.
- Ability to coordinate moving equipment/furniture.
- Must show the ability to complete tasks as assigned in a timely and efficient manner.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to safely operate pallet jack and powered forklift, hydraulic lift, crane, tractor and other industrial equipment.

Physical Requirements:
- Full range of body motion- bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or otherwise maneuvering the entire body and the dexterous use of both hands.
- Ability to stand 100% of the time.
- Heavy material handling and/or lifting will be required as described in the Physical Demands Analysis of the position.
- Required to work off the ground on ladders and or hydraulic lifts.
Working conditions:
Physically available to work in plant floor environment, standing.
Travel Required:
Minimal.
- Must have a valid driver’s license to be an authorized driver of company vehicles.
Education Requirements:
Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
Required Course Work or Equivalent Experience:
- Industrial Electrical Principals
- Electrical Print Reading
- Electrical Motor Control
- Hydraulic Principals
Maintenance Skill Tests required
- Demonstrate Skill, ability, and knowledge of proper Safety Procedures.
