Safety Officer

Milbocker and Sons, Inc. is in search of an experienced Safety Officer to join our team. Milbocker has been building roads and bridges across the lower peninsula for over 50 years and employs over 100 people annually. Most projects are within 90 miles of our office in Allegan, MI, but applicants must be willing to travel outside that radius on occasion.

Job Requirements

· Complete and maintain training and certifications required to perform the job requirements

· Perform jobsite inspections, document site conditions, and work with the project foreman to rectify any safety issues/concerns

· Provide “Toolbox Talk” documents to foreman and ensure they are completed

· Provide/schedule necessary training to field staff (CPR, Silica, Fall Protection, etc.)

· Purchase and distribute PPE to field staff

· Complete MissDig requests and maintain documentation for project files

· Complete SESC and NPDES permits and ensure compliance with inspections and corrective actions

· Maintain Daily Traffic Control Checks completed by project foreman

· Maintain company certifications and inspections (trucks, cranes, rigging, trailers, backflow preventers, gas detectors, etc.)

· Price check and order common use items in bulk

Experience Requirements

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in the road, sewer, and/or bridge construction industry

Compensation

· Salary Range (based on experience) - $70,000 per year
