In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers, promoting our products, and achieving sales targets within your designated territory. As an ambassador of Mill Creek, you will play a vital role in driving customer satisfaction and building a strong brand presence in the market.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and prospect potential customers within the designated territory to expand the customer base.
- Conduct face-to-face sales visits, presentations, and product demonstrations to showcase Mill Creek Carpet and Tile's products and services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular communication and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaborate with the internal sales team to generate leads, address customer inquiries, and provide timely and accurate sales support.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify sales opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotes, and contracts to customers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as set by the sales management team.
- Provide feedback to the sales management team on customer needs, market trends, and competitive intelligence to drive continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.
- Represent Mill Creek Carpet and Tile at trade shows, industry events, and networking functions to expand professional networks and promote the brand.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and prospects using the company's CRM system.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in outside sales, preferably in the flooring or home improvement industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively present information to customers.
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to overcome objections and convert prospects into customers.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of sales principles and techniques.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and competitive sales environment.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage customer relationships and track sales activities.
- High school diploma required; a bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred.
