Job Description
For over 60 years, B & D Machine Works, Inc. has been providing metal fabrication and machine shop services to a variety of industries and customers. We are seeking a Manual Machinist to join our team! You will operate and repair a variety of machines and mechanical instruments.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Manual & CNC Milling and/or Lathe equipment
- Machine products to client specifications
- Operate drill press, manual lathes, CNC lathes, mills, CNC mills, keyseater & saws
- Use calipers and micrometers to effectively measure parts/products
- Other job duties as assigned
- Modify parts and materials to improve overall production
- Calculate dimensions and tolerance using measuring instruments
Qualifications:
- Prior experience operating manual machines in a work setting
- Ability to read blueprints is necessary
- Familiarity machine tools and equipment
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail
