What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Associate position at MiniTec Automation?
MiniTec Automation is looking for our next great teammate! We are looking for a Purchasing Associate that will be an integral part of our daily operations. This role works closely with our Engineering and Production teams to ensure on-time delivery to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain quotes from suppliers
- Multiple quotes often need to be obtained to meet timeline and budget requirements
- Track RFQs
- Types of needs: standard parts, custom fabricated parts, specialty items, special finishes (powder coat, anodizing, etc.)
- Place orders with suppliers for parts and components
- Create purchase orders
- Communicate dates and tracking information to internal team
- Track to ensure parts are arriving on time
- Work with the production team to ensure on-time delivery to customers
- Manage order delays or damages
- Place orders for immediate parts needs for fabrication and production
- Manage supplier relationships
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Required Skills:

- Minimum 2 years’ purchasing experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.50 per hour
