We’re on the hunt for an energetic Lead Maintenance Technician to spearhead maintenance operations at our Tooele facility! In this vital role, you’ll lead a dedicated team focused on preventative maintenance and equipment reliability, all while providing top-notch technical support for our production lines of steel roof bolts, plates, bonding resins, and powdered chemicals. Key Responsibilities:
- Master Planner: Develop and implement maintenance schedules that keep our plant and equipment in tip-top shape.
- Collaboration Champion: Work hand-in-hand with operations to schedule repairs and maintenance with minimal downtime.
- 5S Enthusiast: Apply 5S principles to create a workspace that’s clean, organized, and efficient.
- Continuous Improvement Leader: Drive initiatives like Kaizen and Poka-Yoke (error-proofing) to enhance our processes.
- Team Builder: Provide leadership, training, and support to the maintenance team, ensuring every task meets our high standards.
- Problem-Solver Extraordinaire: Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions, implementing cost-effective solutions that boost reliability.
- Performance Monitor: Keep an eye on performance to ensure all equipment consistently produces high-quality products.
- Budget Guru: Ensure compliance with budgetary limits for maintenance-related expenses.
- Traveler: Occasionally hit the road to support our sister plants and exciting projects as needed!
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s Degree in a relevant technical field or Journeyman Electrician, Millwright, or Tool and Die Maker.
- Experience: 5 years in an industrial maintenance environment, with at least 3 years leading a team.
- Technical Wizardry: Strong knowledge of electrical motor controls, PLC programming, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
- Project Management Pro: Experience with project management and maintenance scheduling.
- Safety First: Proficiency in SH&E procedures and a solid understanding of maintenance best practices.
- Flexible & Reliable: Willingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
