Job description
The Lead is to provide leadership for your team, provide preventative maintenance, repair, reliability and technical support to operators, plant and equipment. Also to provide quality service in the manufacturing of bonding resins and powdered chemicals with a strong focus on ensuring high SH&E, quality and efficiency standards.
Accountabilities
SH&E:
- Take ownership for your teams work practices and ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed
- Ensure personal work practices and environment comply with SH&E standards
- Participate in monthly meetings are required
- Promptly report all unsafe working conditions and incidents
- Ensure plant and equipment is in good order through regular inspection and site audit
- Understand, follow and train Lockout/Tagout and machine guarding and JSA program
Commerical Ownership / Customer Solutions
- Investigate cost effective solutions to plant and machine problems
- Schedule repairs and PM's with Operations to keep overtime and downtime to a minimum
- Take personal ownership and ensure equipment produces a quality product
- Budgetary compliance is a MUST
- Willingness to travel occasionally to support projects or sister plants as needed
Operational Efficiency / Quality
- Work with management to develop implement maintenance schedules for plant & equipment to ensure both are kept in proper condition through regular inspections
- Ability and desire for higher performance levels and technical learning both on the job and in the classroom setting
- Ability to work overtime, rotating hours, Holidays, weekends and alternative shifts as required/needed
- Demonstrate capability to lead the onsite maintenance staff as the first level of management
- Maintain attendance at a level above minimum standards of the Employee Guidebook
- Participate in continuous improvement (Kiazen) and Error Proofing (Poka-Yoke) events
Education:
- Associate's degree in applicable technology or Journeyman Electrician or Journeyman Millwright with demonstrated electrical skills.
In lieu of education, the following combination of skills and/or experience:
- 5 years applicable experience in industrial environment and leadership of 3 or more teammates in: electrical motor controls Level I & Level II, PLC Programming Level I, maintaining machinery or motors, Hydraulics & Pneumatics or rotating equipment, project management experience
