What are the responsibilities and job description for the Integration Power Engineer position at Minsait ACS Inc?
We are looking for a Power Engineer to provide technical expertise across multiple technologies. Our ideal candidate must have knowledge in advanced applications that are applied to the transmission / distribution networks that involve electrical networks which may include distributed energy resources (DERs) such as wind farms, PV farms, or batteries. The focus of the position is for installation, configuration, testing, and support of the Distribution Applications produced by Minsait ACS.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Learn and deploy our electric power management systems
- Configure and assist customers with advanced applications based on Power Flow Analytics for improving performance of electric utilities, including TP (Topology Processor), DPF (Distribution Power Flow), DSE (Distribution State Estimation), IVVc (Integrated Volt-Var Control), OSW (Optimal Switching), SCA (Short Circuit Analysis), Load Estimation, FLISR (Fault Location, Isolation and System Restoration), Outage Prediction Engine, etc.
- Analyze deployment issues and work with the staff to improve the product
- Assist and prepare functional specifications to meet customer requirements
- Create test cases and test scripts
- Work with customers to execute test scripts and assist customers with issues
- Train customers on the use of the advanced applications
Required Experience:
- Bachelor degree (preferably with Power Engineering courses) or equivalent industry knowledge
- Good working knowledge of applications related to the Power Utility Industry
- Skills in deployment and configuration of applications related to the Power Utility Industry
- Knowledge of distribution networks and modeling techniques
- Experience with power load flow and similar applications
- Knowledge of relational databases and sqlplus (Oracle is a plus)
- Linux experience
- Knowledge of C is a plus
