What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tea Room Crew/Bakery Crew position at Miramont Castle?
We are looking for a fun, energetic and reliable team member to join our Queen's Parlour Tea Room! The tea room is located inside Miramont Castle Museum, a beautiful historical home built in 1895, in Manitou Springs. The tea room serves multi-course High Tea and Light Victorian Tea packages and special tea events for various holidays throughout the year. The Queen's Parlour Tea Room is a small staff that strongly encourages creativity in the kitchen by offering an ever-changing menu. Main duties are similar to Line Cook/Prep Cook/Dishwasher, as everyone pitches in. We love to joke and have fun in the kitchen, so a great sense of humor is appreciated.
Pay: $14.42/hr Plus Tips
Starting part time with the potential for a full-time position. Hours subject to change.
Responsibilities: This position includes routine preparation of multi-course tea packages (scones, fruit course, tea sandwiches/desserts). Completing prep work for the day, plating, and keeping work stations clean. Dish washing as needed. Recording food items needed for reordering.
Qualifications: Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs when needed. Must be able to climb multiple staircases and be comfortable with standing potentially up to 6-8 hours per day. Please be reliable with a positive attitude, and have ability to work independently or as a team. Must have a reliable mode of transportation and be able to arrive to work on time.
Preferred: A love for food! Experience working with the public and in food service, mostly open scheduling/availability, and being comfortable changing tasks and helping out where help is needed. Ability to make adjustments on the fly, and able to build new sandwich and dessert flavor combinations out of materials on hand.
