We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced payroll professional who excels at managing and processing payroll efficiently. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and a task-oriented approach to meet deadlines and ensure compliance. Job Duties:

  • Entry of timecard information for all employees, verify accuracy of data, process/distribute paychecks and manage direct deposits
  • Run/file all backup reports (including certified payroll reports)
  • Process weekly tax and 401K payments
  • Update and maintain employee records as necessary
  • Process quarterly reports (Withholdings, Unemployment, related 941)
  • Process annual reports (W-2, business license renewals, 401K Census, Worker’s Comp Review)
  • Provide information and answer employee questions about payroll related matters
  • Coordinate with HR department to ensure accurate employee data
  • Provide administrative assistance to the accounting department as needed

Candidate Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma/GED required (College degree in business admin or accounting preferred)
  • 2 years of payroll and/or job cost accounting experience (manually processing payroll is essential).
  • Strong proficiency in using computer applications, with the ability to navigate Windows operating systems seamlessly and adapt to various software platforms and tools.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Able to prioritize and multitask effectively and work confidently in a team environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
